Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American Canadian singer and songwriter. Her work has been featured on over 20 albums of studio work. Her music is categorized as folk, alternative and rock but she also draws influences from jazz and hip-hop. Ani diFranco was the first artist to establish her own label in 1990. Ani is widely considered to be a feminist icon. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23 1970 she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco The couple had made acquaintance while studying at in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father had Italian roots and her mother was Montreal-born. Ani Difrasco composed and recorded the song "32 Flavors". The track is available on the album Not a Pretty Girl by Ani DiFranco, released in 1996. It was featured on the soundtrack of 1999's Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate is a variation of this song.
