Annie Murphy (n e Anne Frances Murphy) was born December 19th, 1986. The actress was born in Canada, and she worked as a film actress for many years. She is mainly known for portraying the role of Alexis Rose in the CBC TV sitcom Schitt's creek. The show which began in the year 2015 and ended in 2020. Her performance earned her high praise from critics and received the Primetime Emmy Award. Parents of her were teachers. Her parents used to work as educators. Elmwood School Ottawa was where she started performing on the stage. Her next step was to apply for admission at Concordia University and pursue a stage performance diploma. The Canadian Film Centre Actor's Conservatory was the place where she learned about acting. After that, she relocated to Los Angeles in her early 20s and began to pursue acting. Annie Murphy made her acting debut in 2007 when she appeared in the television thriller Lethal Obsession. She went on to perform minor roles and even more in several movies.
